Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assisting senior estimators in accurately forecasting the costs associated with construction projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and advancement in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior estimators in analyzing project requirements and specifications.
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other project documents to understand project scope.
- Research material and labor costs to estimate project expenses accurately.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to generate cost estimates and proposals.
- Prepare and organize bid documents and proposals for submission to clients.
- Participate in site visits and meetings to gather additional project information as needed.
- Assist in evaluating subcontractor bids and proposals.
- Maintain accurate records of project estimates, budgets, and expenses.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction estimating.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- 2 years of related experience
- Computer Skills required - Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to put together a professional presentation
- Analytical and math skills
- Ability to work well on a team
- Proven ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements
- Mechanical knowledge
- Ability to manage time effectively
