Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects and fabrication in our shop. This role involves managing all aspects of a construction project, from inception to completion, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager is the primary point of contact who works to ensure that all project goals and objectives are met successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress, set milestones, allocate resources, and ensure timelines are met.
- Coordinate and prioritize tasks across various teams, ensuring that resources are efficiently allocated.
Team Leadership and Communication:
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Regularly communicate project status to team, including progress, risks, and any changes to the scope or timeline.
- Organize and lead regular project meetings to assess progress, address concerns, and review the next steps.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently and within the approved budget.
- Identify resource needs and coordinate with relevant departments to secure required personnel, equipment, and materials.
Risk Management:
- Proactively identify and assess potential risks to project timelines, quality, or budget.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to manage risks and issues.
- Resolve conflicts and issues that may arise within the team or with external stakeholders.
Quality Control:
- Ensure all project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.
- Implement and enforce quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, meeting notes, and post-project reviews.
- Prepare and submit regular reports detailing project status, milestones achieved, risks, and financial situations.
Post-Project Review and Evaluation:
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess successes, identify lessons learned, and ensure the project meets its goals.
- Provide recommendations for future improvements in project management processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, or related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Experience managing cross-functional
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with different teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to create and maintain detailed project plans.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with construction project management tools and software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, pass drug screen and physical
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction industry
- Familiarity with contract management, vendor management, or procurement processes.
