Job Summary:


The Laborer/Apprentice will work under supervision to assist with the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. This is an entry-level position intended to provide hands-on training and on-the-job learning to develop skills required for a career as a qualified Millwright.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation and alignment of industrial machinery, equipment, and mechanical components.
  • Support senior Millwrights in performing preventative maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Learn and apply proper rigging techniques, including hoisting and lifting.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Participate in job-specific and safety-related training as required.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn a skilled trade.
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites and work in various weather conditions.
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing, bending, and climbing as required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
